Juvenile Street Racer Causes Major Crash near Dekaney High School

n November 18, 2023, authorities in Harris County responded to a major crash caused by a juvenile street racer. The incident occurred at 16405 North Freeway Service Road in Houston around 2:49 p.m., according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4 officials.

Two juvenile drivers, one of whom is identified as a 16-year-old, were engaged in a race when the 16-year-old lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a crash. The racing incident took place as the drivers were leaving Dekaney High School.

The 16-year-old driver’s car had a male and female passenger inside, both of whom were transported to a local hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

Constable Mark Herman stated that the juvenile driver was subsequently arrested and charged with Racing on a Roadway.
