Juvenile Female Shot at Large House Party in East Houston

A juvenile female was injured after being shot at a large house party in the 12400 block of Chalemette Street, east of Houston, on Monday, April 21, 2025.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office District 3 patrol units responded to a discharge of a firearm call at approximately 11:30 PM and found a large number of juveniles fleeing the scene. Deputies located several spent shell casings in the street. They learned that a juvenile female had been struck by a gunshot and was being treated at a local hospital, where she was reported to be in stable condition.

HCSO Detectives investigating the incident determined that the large gathering of juveniles was involved in illicit activity. The party had been advertised on social media, leading to the arrival of several unwanted guests. Some individuals were seen with firearms and were asked to leave. At some point, a disturbance occurred in the roadway, and two groups of individuals began shooting at each other before fleeing the location.
