Juvenile Arrested, Another Hospitalized After Crisis at Fort Bend County Group Home

FORT BEND COUNTY, TX – Deputies with the Fort Bend County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, under Constable Patrick Quincy, responded to a crisis call involving two juveniles at a group home following an assault on staff.
According to officials, the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) was dispatched after two juveniles reportedly expressed their refusal to remain at the facility. One juvenile physically assaulted a staff member and then began engaging in self-harm. She attempted to jump from a second-story window but was safely detained by deputies and placed in a patrol vehicle.
The second juvenile allegedly retrieved a pair of scissors and threatened to kill the same staff member who had been assaulted, just before deputies arrived.
Following CIT evaluation, the first juvenile was placed under an Emergency Detention Order (EDO) and transported to Texas Children’s Hospital for further assessment. The second juvenile, who was cleared of immediate mental health concerns, was taken into custody and transported to Juvenile Detention on a charge of Aggravated Assault.
The investigation remains ongoing.
