Joint Narcotics Operation Leads To Arrest And Seizure Of Drugs, Firearm In NW Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A joint narcotics investigation conducted by deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety resulted in the arrest of a suspect and the seizure of large quantities of illegal drugs and a firearm, authorities said.
The operation took place Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, in the 13900 block of Bammel North Houston Road. Investigators determined the suspect, 28-year-old Jamile Darnell Grimble, was distributing illegal narcotics from a rented storefront business, according to the constable’s office.
Deputies obtained and executed a search warrant at the location. During the operation, Grimble attempted to flee out the rear of the business but was quickly apprehended by a constable’s canine unit.

A search of the premises led to the seizure of more than 54 pounds of marijuana, 7.6 pounds of THC gummies, 212.2 grams of psychedelic mushrooms, 58 grams of THC wax vape pens, 2.6 grams of cocaine, 10.4 grams of morphine pills, 11.4 grams of oxycodone, 6 grams of Xanax, 67.4 grams of Farmapram Xanax, 10.8 grams of an unknown powder substance, and approximately 53 fluid ounces of promethazine. Investigators also recovered one loaded handgun.
Grimble was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. He faces charges including felony possession of marijuana, felon in possession of a weapon, and four counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Bond and court information had not been set as of Thursday.
Constable Mark Herman said the investigation remains ongoing.
