Jerry Garcia Constable’s Deputies Make Arrest in High-Crime Zone After Confrontation
Deputies from the Jerry Garcia Constable’s Office in Harris County made an arrest in the 10500 block of East Fwy near Jacinto City during an active patrol in response to concerns raised by citizens in the Songwood Subdivision.
The area, known for its high crime rate, has been a focus of law enforcement efforts to address various criminal activities.
While on patrol, deputies noticed two males sleeping on a vacant property and approached them. Both individuals verbally identified themselves, leading to the discovery that one of them, Jose Isidro Chavez, had an open felony warrant.
Upon attempting to handcuff Chavez, a struggle ensued as he resisted arrest. Deputies managed to subdue Chavez after a short struggle, and additional charges were filed for interference with public duties.
Deputies reiterated their commitment to patrolling areas of concern to deter criminal activities.
