Instagram Show-Off ‘Hellcat Mike’ Gets 10 Years After 100+ MPH Police Chase Ends in Crash

FORT BEND COUNTY, TX – Michael Altravion Wilson, also known as “Hellcat Mike,” was sentenced to the maximum 10 years in prison on July 7, 2025, after pleading guilty to felony Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle, Fort Bend County District Attorney Brian M. Middleton announced.
Wilson, 39, of San Antonio, led a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) trooper on a high-speed pursuit in February 2024. According to prosecutors, DPS Trooper Corral attempted to stop Wilson, who was driving a Dodge Hellcat with a fictitious New York license plate reading “MAFIA,” on I-10 in Katy. Wilson accelerated rapidly, weaving through traffic before temporarily evading law enforcement.
Trooper Corral later caught up to the vehicle when traffic slowed. Wilson again attempted to flee but clipped a landscaping truck and crashed into a barrier, deploying the vehicle’s airbags. Data showed Wilson was traveling over 100 mph at the time of the crash with the gas pedal fully depressed.
Inside the vehicle, law enforcement found a female passenger, a French Bulldog, an open container of alcohol, and steroids. No injuries were reported.
Wilson admitted to fleeing from police during the incident and confessed to similar actions in the past. Authorities also discovered his Instagram account, “Hellcat Mike,” where he had posted videos of apparent police chases. Wilson testified that the content was used to promote his business selling Dodge Charger Hellcats and that he fled from Trooper Corral to avoid being stopped in “a client’s car.”
Wilson was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Grayson Miller in the 434th District Court before Judge J. Christian Becerra. The charge is a third-degree felony punishable by 2 to 10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
Wilson will next be transported to Guadalupe County to face sentencing for a separate felony evading case.
