Illegal Gambling Operation Shut Down in Harris County; Employee Charged

Harris County investigators with Constable Mark Herman’s Criminal Investigations Division dismantled an illegal gambling operation at a business in the 10500 block of FM 1960 in Houston, Texas, following an undercover investigation.

After confirming illegal gambling activities, investigators secured a search warrant for the establishment. During the operation, over $18,000 in suspected gambling proceeds, numerous illegal gambling devices, and supporting documentation were seized.

The business employee, Trungtrinh Nguyen, was charged with Possession of Gambling Device/Equipment/Paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $100 through Harris County Criminal Court at Law No. 2, and she has been released on bond.

Constable Mark Herman emphasized the dangers posed by illegal gambling operations, stating they attract criminal activity and fund serious criminal enterprises.
