Illegal Alien Apprehended After Fleeing Brewster County Deputies Near Marathon High School

On Friday afternoon, December 14, Brewster County Deputies responded to a call regarding a suspicious person near Marathon High School. Upon arriving at the scene, the suspect attempted to flee, but deputies quickly pursued and apprehended him.

The suspect was identified as Henry Raul Soriano Triminio, an illegal alien from Honduras. Soriano Triminio was booked into the Brewster County Jail for evading arrest or detention.

After addressing the state charge, he will be processed for removal by immigration officials.

Additional Arrests

That same afternoon, Brewster County Deputies, Texas DPS Air Ops, and U.S. Border Patrol agents responded to a group of suspects attempting to circumvent the Highway 385 Border Patrol Checkpoint. After tracking the group, authorities successfully apprehended the individuals, who were found to be illegally in the country. They were referred to Border Patrol agents for processing.

Earlier, on Thursday night, December 13, a Brewster County Deputy observed a group of suspects exiting a vehicle south of the Highway 385 Border Patrol Checkpoint. The suspects, wearing camouflage, fled onto private property. The vehicle’s driver, David Hernandez, was immediately detained, and a search ensued. Additional Deputies and U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehended three individuals, all from Mexico, who were found to be in the country illegally. Hernandez was charged with three counts of smuggling of persons and booked into the Brewster County Jail. The three suspects from Mexico were referred to Border Patrol agents for processing.
