Humble Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault That Left Elderly Victim in Critical Condition

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez announced an arrest in an assault that left 80-year-old Earl Hollins hospitalized in critical condition.

The incident occurred on Friday, December 7, 2024, in the 1400 block of W. FM1960 in Humble, Texas. Deputies and Violent Crimes Unit Investigators identified 57-year-old Anthony Ray Boyce as the alleged suspect.

Boyce, who was acquainted with Hollins prior to the incident, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault – Serious Bodily Injury. The motive behind the assault is not believed to be robbery.

Boyce was booked into the Harris County Jail, while Hollins remains hospitalized in critical condition as of the latest update. The investigation is ongoing.
