Houston Police Seek Suspect After Deadly Daylight Shooting in the Northside

HOUSTON, Texas – Houston police are searching for a suspect following a fatal shooting that occurred in broad daylight in the Northside/Northline area.
The shooting happened around 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026, in the 10500 block of Bauman Road. Officers responded to the scene and found a 24-year-old Hispanic male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
According to investigators, the victim was walking northbound on Bauman Road when a suspect exited a vehicle and fired multiple shots, striking him. The suspect then fled the area.
Initially, investigators believed the suspect vehicle to be a gray 2007 to 2012 Nissan Altima based on early, unclear surveillance images. However, as the investigation progressed, clearer footage revealed the suspect vehicle is now believed to be a gray 2012 to 2016 Honda Accord, with a noticeable dent near the rear right wheel area.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 18 and 25 years old.
The Houston Police Department Homicide Division is continuing to investigate the case and is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
