Houston Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Person of Interest in Fatal Shooting

Houston police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Treveon J. Walls, 26, a person of interest in the fatal shooting of Alberto Posada, 25, at 9700 Homestead Road around 1:10 a.m. on June 9. Walls is wanted for questioning but has not been charged at this time. A prior photo of Walls is attached to this release.

According to HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen, patrol officers responded to a shooting call at Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. They discovered that Posada’s vehicle had been pursued by another vehicle, which fired shots as it arrived at the hospital. The suspect vehicle fled the scene.

Posada sustained at least one gunshot wound and was transported to another hospital, where he was pronounced dead on June 11.

The investigation revealed that the incident began as a verbal altercation at a gas station at 9700 Homestead Road and escalated into a road rage incident.
