Houston Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Person of Interest in Fatal Teen Stabbing

HOUSTON, TX – Houston Police are asking for assistance in identifying a person of interest in the fatal stabbing of 16-year-old Franklin Torres-Concho. The incident occurred on September 30, 2025, at approximately 7:50 a.m. along the 4512 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) service road.

Officers responded to reports of a person down in a vacant lot and found Torres-Concho suffering from multiple stab wounds. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
The person of interest, described as a male with short hair and possibly a mustache, was seen with the victim prior to his death. Surveillance photos of the individual have been released by HPD. He is not currently charged but is wanted for questioning.
Torres-Concho was known to frequent the Katy Freeway area near Shepherd Drive, Yale Street, W. 11th Street, and Washington Avenue.
