Houston Police Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying Vehicle Involved in Fatal Shooting on Airport Blvd

Houston Police are reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect’s vehicle related to the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Miguel Chavez. The incident took place at 7800 Airport Boulevard around 6:30 p.m. on October 21.

Upon responding to a reported shooting at the specified location, HPD patrol officers discovered Mr. Chavez unresponsive in the back of a vehicle, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the prompt arrival of Houston Fire Department paramedics, Chavez was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Witnesses disclosed that the shooting occurred in the vicinity of a convenience store in the 10000 block of Telephone Road. Chavez was subsequently transported to the Airport Boulevard location by a private vehicle.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a maroon Dodge or Ford pickup truck with bed rails and a front grill guard. Law enforcement believes the suspect is a white or Hispanic male.
