Houston Police Seek Public Assistance in Fatal Stabbing Investigation

Authorities have released surveillance photos of two individuals considered persons of interest in connection with the fatal stabbing of 51-year-old Paulino Argueta. The incident occurred on Monday, January 22, at approximately 3:20 p.m. in the vicinity of 6900 Avenue S.

The persons of interest are described as a Hispanic male and female. Houston Police Department (HPD) patrol officers responded to a report of a person lying in the street and discovered Mr. Argueta unresponsive, suffering from a stab wound. Despite efforts by Houston Fire Department paramedics, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that a red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, equipped with a black toolbox in the bed, was observed leaving the area and is now being sought for questioning. Subsequent inquiries led authorities to identify the two persons of interest seen in the released surveillance photos.
