Houston Police Release Surveillance Video of Suspects in January Fatal Nightclub Shooting

Houston police have released surveillance video of two suspects wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Deon Robinson and the wounding of another man at 8811 Westheimer Road at approximately 2:30 a.m. on January 19, 2025.

The two suspects are described only as black males in their 20s and are seen running in the released surveillance footage.

According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective R. Lujan, two groups of males were involved in an altercation in the parking lot of a nightclub at the listed address, which escalated into gunfire. Deon Robinson was shot and pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.

A second male, 22-year-old Daqualaun Chandler, was also shot and fled the scene in a vehicle. He was subsequently involved in a traffic crash further down Westheimer Road and was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Chandler has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon in the 486th State District Court and driving while intoxicated in Harris County Criminal Court #6.

Further investigation has identified the two unidentified males seen running in the surveillance video as additional suspects in this incident.
