Houston Police Release Composite Sketch and Surveillance Video in Shooting Case

The Houston Police Department has released a composite sketch and surveillance video of a suspect and their vehicle in connection with the shooting of a woman on December 18, 2023, at 6318 Thrush Drive.

The suspect is described as a black male, aged approximately 25 to 30, with a thin build and small dreads or braids. The attached composite sketch and surveillance video show the suspect’s vehicle, believed to be an early 2000s Honda Civic.

The 23-year-old victim was shot around 11:20 p.m. outside a residence at the mentioned address. She was promptly transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive her injury.

Upon responding to a shooting call, HPD patrol officers discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics then transported her to the hospital.

Investigators have determined that the victim was shot by an unknown suspect, and she sought refuge with a neighbor who promptly called 9-1-1. As of now, there is no known motive for the shooting.
