Houston Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on Leycrest Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 8713 Leycrest Road around 3:45 a.m. on Monday (March 10).

The identity of the 24-year-old victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Detective J. Brown, officers responded to a shooting call and found a truck that had crashed into a ditch. The driver had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.

Neighbors reported hearing gunshots and the sound of the truck’s engine accelerating. At this time, there are no known witnesses, suspect descriptions, or motive in the shooting.
