Houston Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on Briar Terrace Drive

Houston Police are investigating the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man found in the 6400 block of Briar Terrace Drive around 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, October 25.

The victim has been identified as Alan Tavera.

According to investigators with the HPD Homicide Division, patrol officers responded to a crash involving a red Nissan Titan that had struck a parked vehicle in a driveway. Houston Fire Department personnel arrived and pronounced Tavera deceased at the scene. He was found to have suffered at least one gunshot wound.

At this time, there are no known suspects.
