Houston Police Investigate Fatal Shooting of 13-Year-Old at Ashford Meadow Drive

Houston Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old juvenile male that occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, at a residence located at 12646 Ashford Meadow Drive.

The victim’s identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Lamont and Detective A. Herrera, patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the residence and discovered the juvenile had suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officers found evidence of a shooting in the parking lot area, while the juvenile was inside the living room of the residence when he was shot.

There is currently no description of any suspect(s).
