Houston Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Westheimer Parkway

The Houston Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 15200 Westheimer Parkway near George Bush Park around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23.

The victim, a 32-year-old female, was driving a blue Nissan Sentra eastbound on Westheimer Parkway when the incident took place. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is pending verification of her identity.

According to reports, the female driver failed to stay in a single lane, crossed over the median, and entered the westbound lanes of Westheimer Parkway. A silver Ford Fiesta traveling westbound on Westheimer Parkway was unable to stop in time, colliding with the Nissan on the passenger side.

The female driver was pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics. The 55-year-old male driver of the Ford suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
