Houston Man Killed in Early Morning Shooting; Case Referred to Grand Jury

The fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man at 891 Lucky Street around 3 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, will be referred to a Harris County Grand Jury. The victim’s identity is pending confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Houston Police Department Homicide Detectives A. Graf and E. Torres reported that patrol officers responding to the scene found the male unresponsive with at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased at the location.
Investigators learned that the victim had a previous relationship with a female at the residence and had caused a disturbance earlier in the night. He returned to the home and became involved in an argument with a 26-year-old male, which escalated into a physical altercation as the victim attempted to gain entry through the garage. During the struggle, the second male produced a firearm and fired multiple shots, striking the victim. The female at the residence called 911, and the shooter attempted to provide first aid.
After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, the case has been referred to a grand jury.
