Houston Man Faces Second Murder Charge in Deadly Midtown Nightclub Shooting

HOUSTON, Texas – An 18-year-old Houston man already facing murder charges in a separate 2025 homicide has now been charged in the fatal shooting of a man outside a Midtown nightclub that also left two others wounded.

Jefferson Adonay Velasquez-Torres has been charged with murder in the 174th State District Court in connection with the April 27 shooting at the Diosa Night Club, located at 3017 Milam Street.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to the nightclub parking lot at about 2 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. All three victims were transported to area hospitals, where 27-year-old Noah Ramirez was pronounced dead. The other two victims survived their injuries.

HPD Homicide Division investigators determined that a fight inside the nightclub spilled into the parking lot, where gunfire erupted.

Following the investigation, detectives identified Velasquez-Torres as the suspected shooter. He was subsequently charged with murder, arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail.

The charge marks the second murder case filed against Velasquez-Torres this year.

On June 4, 2026, he was arrested and charged in the August 2025 killing of 17-year-old Angel Garcia during a party at a residence in the 14700 block of Waldine Street near the Cloverleaf area.

According to investigators, approximately 200 people were attending the party when Garcia was shot and killed. In that case, Velasquez-Torres was charged with murder, two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Authorities also charged 19-year-old Enrique Aguilar with murder on June 17, 2026, as a co-defendant in the Waldine Street homicide.

The investigation into the April 27 Midtown shooting remains ongoing.
