Houston Man Arrested in Fatal Richmond Avenue Shooting

Houston police have arrested Jeremiah Lee Jackson, 21, in connection with the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old man at 11355 Richmond Avenue around 10 p.m. on Saturday, August 9.

Officers responding to the shooting found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene. The victim’s identity remains pending notification of family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Witnesses at the scene directed police to Jackson, who remained at the location with the firearm used in the shooting. Jackson admitted to his involvement and has been charged with murder in the 487th State District Court. He is currently held at the Harris County Jail.
