Houston Firefighter Arrested for Stealing Credit Card Info from Fellow Firefighter

A Houston firefighter has been arrested and charged after allegedly stealing credit card information from a fellow firefighter and attempting to make fraudulent purchases.
According to Harris County Constable Precinct One Alan Rosen, investigators arrested Curtis Jones, 28, on Thursday morning at his residence. Jones is charged with credit card abuse, a state jail felony. Authorities say the arrest came after investigators traced an IP address connected to the fraudulent charges back to Jones’s home.
Jones and the victim were both assigned to Houston Fire Station 21 on Main Street when the theft occurred in June 2025. The victim told investigators that he had left his wallet inside a backpack at the station. Shortly after, he noticed unauthorized attempts to use his credit card for online purchases — including a $650 order for a shirt and sneakers.
Constable Rosen said the case was particularly troubling because it involved one first responder taking advantage of another.
“It is especially unfortunate when a first responder takes advantage of a fellow first responder,” Rosen said. “Our investigation is ongoing. More charges are possible.”
Jones was taken into custody without incident. The investigation remains active as authorities review whether additional fraudulent activity occurred.
