House Fire on Popular Park Ct. Leaves One Injured, Causes $80,000 in Damage
A house fire broke out on the 2200 block of Popular Park Ct. on June 6, 2024, at 6:14 p.m. Houston Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the house and initiated an offensive attack. The fire was reported to be burning from the gas meter, which was subsequently shut off.
One civilian sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene. A primary search of the home was completed, and it was ventilated. Firefighters removed siding from the house to fully extinguish the fire.
An estimated $260,000 in property was saved, while the damage is estimated at $80,000. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation and appears to be accidental. HFD Arson investigators have been requested to determine the cause and origin.
A total of 33 personnel responded to the incident, including firefighters from Stations 15, 64, 102, 103, 104, 101, and the Porter Fire Department.
