House Fire in Houston’s Reid Street Neighborhood Leaves One Injured

On February 2, 2024, at 10:44 a.m., emergency responders rushed to the 4100 block of Reid St. 77026, where a house fire had broken out. Firefighters from Stations 30, 15, 19, 34, 12, 39, and 43 arrived at the scene within three minutes of receiving the call.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a one-story house fully engulfed in flames and immediately began a defensive attack to contain the blaze. Their prompt response helped protect nearby properties from the spreading fire.

One civilian suffered smoke inhalation and was transported to the hospital by HFD EMS.

The fire caused an estimated $60,000 in damages to the property. However, details about any saved belongings or structural salvage are currently unavailable.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and HFD Arson investigators have been called in to determine its origin and circumstances.

A total of 35 personnel, including firefighters from multiple stations, responded to the incident.
