Home Burglary in Spring: Teen Suspect Apprehended After Foot Chase

On November 29, 2023, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a reported burglary of a habitation in the 23200 block of Timberbrook Drive in Spring, Texas. Upon arrival, the investigation revealed that a male suspect had forcibly entered the residence before making a quick escape on foot.
Constable Deputies, determined to bring the perpetrator to justice, located the suspect in close proximity. A brief foot pursuit ensued, resulting in the apprehension of 18-year-old Joe Lopez. Lopez was found to be in possession of multiple identification cards.
Subsequent investigation uncovered an open Felony Warrant for Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle against Joe Lopez. Consequently, he was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on charges of the open warrant and the burglary of a habitation. His bond has been set at $50,000.00.
