Hit-and-Run Leaves Bicyclist Dead on Kuykendahl Road

A man riding a motorized bicycle was killed early Friday morning in a hit-and-run crash on Kuykendahl Road in north Harris County, and investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify the driver involved.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 4:30 a.m. in the 15200 block of Kuykendahl Road. Deputies say the victim, described as an unknown white male, was traveling northbound in the right lane on a motorized bicycle that did not have working rear lights.
Investigators said an unknown vehicle was also traveling northbound in the same lane when it struck the bicyclist from behind. The driver did not stop and continued northbound on Kuykendahl Road without rendering aid.
Emergency medical services responded to the scene and found the bicyclist with no signs of life. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is continuing to investigate the crash and is working to identify both the victim and the driver of the vehicle. Deputies are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has dash camera or surveillance video from the area around the time of the crash to come forward.
