High-Speed Crash on I-10 Strikes Fire and Police Vehicles in Baytown

At approximately 10:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25th, 2024, Baytown emergency responders were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the 5000 block of East I-10. While on scene, a vehicle traveling eastbound at high speed collided with Baytown Fire Engine 7 and two Baytown Police Department vehicles.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to HCA Clear Lake in stable condition. A dog traveling with the driver was unharmed in the crash. A Baytown Police Officer sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local medical facility before being released.

The driver was cited for Failure to Control Speed.
