High-Speed Crash on Antoine Drive Leaves One Dead

Houston Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred on Antoine Drive on Monday, February 24, 2025, at approximately 10:20 p.m.
A 57-year-old male was killed when the silver Chevrolet Trailblazer he was driving crashed in the 7700 block of Antoine Drive. His identity is pending notification of next of kin by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to the Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division, the Trailblazer was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and struck a curb. The vehicle then left the roadway, striking a mailbox, a streetlight, and a tree while rolling over.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
A 25-year-old male, who claimed to be a passenger in the vehicle, was able to exit the vehicle. He did not show signs of intoxication and was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
