Harris County Parolee Facing Life in Prison After Phone Evidence Triggers New Child Porn Charges

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A Channelview man already held on a staggering $5 million bond is facing new, severe felony charges after a forensic search of his mobile phone uncovered evidence of child exploitation. Harris County Constable Precinct One Alan Rosen announced the additional charges against 34-year-old Christopher Lakner this week, marking another chapter in a disturbing criminal history.
Lakner now faces:
- One first-degree felony charge of Possession of Child Pornography (carrying a potential sentence of up to life in prison).
- One third-degree felony charge (carrying up to 10 years in prison).
These new charges stem from videos discovered by investigators while analyzing Lakner’s phone following his arrest in May 2025.
A Pattern of Predatory Behavior
The recent charges are only the latest for Lakner, who was already facing up to 10 years for Online Solicitation of a Minor following his May arrest. At the time of that incident, Lakner was out on parole, having been released from prison in November 2024.+1
His previous criminal record reveals a series of chilling interactions with undercover law enforcement:
- 2021 Conviction (Harris County): Lakner was sentenced to five years in prison after attempting to recruit an undercover deputy—whom he believed was a teenager—to help him kidnap children to be sold as sex slaves. Court records show Lakner discussed impregnating the “teenager” to create children who would also be raised as sex slaves.+1
- Montgomery County Conviction: Lakner was previously sentenced to 10 years of probation for the promotion of child pornography after sending illicit images to another undercover officer.
Commitment to Protection
Constable Alan Rosen emphasized that his office, as part of the Houston-Metro Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, remains vigilant in tracking down offenders who target the most vulnerable members of society.
“We are never going to stop doing all we can to stop sexual predators,” Constable Rosen said in a statement. “We are not going to let you prey on anyone, especially children.”
Authorities remind the public that online predators can reach children even in the safety of their own homes. The Harris County Constable Precinct One ICAC Unit is urging anyone with information about Lakner or other potential crimes to come forward.
