Harris County Deputy Pursuit Ends with Arrest After Suspect Steals Tow Truck
On Friday, November 13, a traffic stop initiated by a Harris County deputy with Constable Mark Herman’s Office led to a pursuit and multiple dramatic events. The deputy attempted to stop a vehicle in the 1098 block of E Louetta Road, but the driver refused to pull over, prompting a chase.
During the pursuit, the suspect collided with another vehicle and then fled on foot. An armed bystander fired his weapon at the suspect as he fled. The suspect then stole an unoccupied tow truck and continued to evade deputies.
The chase ended when deputies successfully stopped the stolen tow truck near the Grand Parkway Service Road and Rayford Road area, where the suspect was apprehended without further incident.
