Frio County Sheriff Michael Morse Passes Away After 35 Years of Service

The Frio County Sheriff’s Office has announced the passing of Sheriff Michael Morse, who served as a law enforcement officer in Texas for over 35 years. Sheriff Morse, a former Texas Game Warden, was dedicated to protecting and conserving the state’s natural and cultural resources before taking on the role of Sheriff in Frio County.

During his tenure, Sheriff Morse successfully rehabilitated the long-shuttered Frio County Jail and cultivated a department culture committed to providing “Service with Respect” for all. He is remembered as a devoted law officer, father, husband, and leader.
