Foul Play Suspected in Bacliff Woman’s Death; Two Persons of Interest Identified

On February 6, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies responded to a welfare concern at a residence located at 4723 15th St, Bacliff, Texas. The call was made by a close friend of the resident who had been unable to make contact with the individual.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered the body of a deceased woman inside the home. The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit were called to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation. Evidence gathered at the scene indicates the possibility of foul play.
Detectives have identified two persons of interest in connection to the case: 18-year-old Uriah Ureck and 17-year-old Tara King, who is believed to be Ureck’s girlfriend. The Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in locating these individuals for questioning.
“We are following all leads and taking every necessary step to bring clarity to this tragic incident. Any information from the community that can assist in the investigation will be invaluable,” a statement from the Sheriff’s Office said.
