Fleeing Illegal Immigrant Captured in Montgomery County After Sexually Abusing Multiple Children
Jose Luis Briseno

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force in Louisiana, has located and arrested 49-year-old Jose Luis Briseno who is charged with sexual abuse against multiple children under the age of 13.

Briseno, who allegedly stole several thousand dollars from his family’s business to fund his escape from prosecution, has a history with Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) and is confirmed to be in the United States illegally. After being extradited from Louisiana, Briseno will be transferred to the Montgomery County Jail, where he will be held on a $250,000 bond.

This arrest was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, the U.S. Marshals Service, and law enforcement agencies in the New Orleans area. The operation also received crucial support from Children’s Safe Harbor, a non-profit organization dedicated to the safety and well-being of children who are victims of sexual and physical abuse.

Although Briseno is in custody, the investigation remains ongoing, and detectives are working diligently to ensure that all aspects of the case are thoroughly examined.
