Five Arrested in Galveston County Following Multi-State Organized Theft Investigation

GALVESTON COUNTY, TX – The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit has taken five individuals into custody following a months-long investigation into a large-scale theft operation spanning Texas and Ohio.
The probe began in August 2025 after deputies stopped a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Michael Patrick. Officers discovered Patrick in possession of marijuana and numerous industrial parts and products believed to be stolen. Patrick was arrested at the scene.
A subsequent search of a La Marque residence on Bayou Road uncovered a substantial quantity of industrial parts and products, marijuana, THC wax, and multiple firearms. Investigators later confirmed that much of the recovered property had been stolen from facilities in both Texas and Ohio.
Following the investigation, authorities identified and arrested additional suspects for their involvement in the organized theft operation. On November 17, 2025, the following individuals were taken into custody on outstanding warrants for engaging in organized criminal activity:
- Michael Ryan Patrick, 41 – No bond
- Antonio Garza, 45 – $1,000,000 bond
- Ruth Patrick, 35 – $100,000 bond
- Herve Yemey, 33 – $100,000 bond
- Brad Edward Goldsberry, 40 – $1,000,000 bond
The Major Crimes Unit acknowledged the coordinated efforts of the Crime Scene Unit, the Fugitive Apprehension Division, and the Allen County Sheriff’s Office in Lima, Ohio, which were instrumental in the safe apprehension of the suspects.
The investigation remains active, and detectives continue to pursue additional leads. No further information is being released at this time.
