Harris County Father Arrested for Assaulting Infant According to CPS

A man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting his infant child.

On Thursday, January 30, 2025, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to an apartment complex in the 14300 block of Ella Blvd following a report of an assault. Upon arrival, Child Protective Services informed deputies that an infant patient had been physically assaulted.

Investigators determined that the child’s father, 29-year-old Ezequiel Perez, assaulted the infant multiple times, causing pain and visible injuries that required medical attention.

Perez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Injury to a Child. His bond has not yet been set out of the 183rd District Court.
