Father and Son Arrested After Disturbance and Struggle with Deputies in North Houston

A disturbance call in Far North Houston led to the arrest of a father and son after both became involved in a struggle with deputies, according to Constable Mark Herman’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched on December 4 to the 16200 block of N Meadow Drive after reports of a disturbance. When they arrived, they found a man who appeared heavily intoxicated and showing signs of aggression. As deputies attempted to detain him, the man—identified as Wilson Carranza—became combative and tried to headbutt them.
While deputies worked to restrain him, his father, Luis Carranza, intervened and tried to pull deputies away, escalating the confrontation. A deputy then deployed a Taser, allowing officers to bring Wilson under control with help from additional units. Luis was also detained at the scene.
Both men were taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail.
• 26-year-old Wilson Carranza was charged with resisting arrest. His bond was set at 100 dollars.
• 57-year-old Luis Carranza was charged with interfering with the duties of a public servant. His bond was also set at 100 dollars.
Constable Herman’s Office reported that no serious injuries were noted, and the incident remains documented as a disturbance involving intoxication and interference.
