Fatal Motorcycle Collision Under Investigation in El Paso, Speed and Alcohol Contributing Factor

The El Paso Police Department’s Special Traffic Investigators Unit is currently probing a tragic motorcycle collision that claimed the life of a 27-year-old male from Ft Bliss, Texas. The incident occurred on Sunday, November 19th, at around 4:23 am, near 1600 Saint Paul.

Preliminary findings from the investigation indicate that the motorcycle was heading southbound on Saint Paul at a high rate of speed. The rider failed to stop at the T intersection of Saint Paul and Saint Dominic. Subsequently, the motorcycle collided with a curb, then a rock wall, causing the rider to be dislodged from the bike. The rider succumbed to the injuries on the scene.

Authorities believe that both speed and alcohol were contributing factors to this fatal crash. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.

This incident marks the 71st fatality of the year, an increase from the 65 reported at this time last year. In light of this, the El Paso Police Department emphasizes the importance of responsible driving and encourages all motorcycle operators to wear helmets for their safety.
