Fatal Motorcycle Collision Involving Propane Truck Leaves 13-Year-old Dead in Montgomery County

On December 28, 2023, at 1:30 pm, Montgomery County dispatch received a call reporting a major accident on Rogers Road at Grand Oaks in front of the Oak Hills of Willis Subdivision.

An off-duty East Montgomery County Firefighter arrived first, revealing that a 13-year-old child had lost their life.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the teenager failed to stop for the stop sign while coming off Grand Oaks Drive. An eastbound propane truck was unable to avoid the collision with the motorcycle.

Troopers closed Rogers Road for nearly three hours to conduct their investigation.

No charges are anticipated in connection with the incident.
