Fatal Dollar General Robbery: Suspect Shot by Employee, Dies in Crash with METRO Bus

Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to an incident at a Dollar General store situated at 15045 Ella Blvd, near W. Airtex Blvd. Preliminary reports suggest that a male suspect allegedly robbed the store, prompting an employee to discharge his weapon in the direction of the suspect.

According to Harris County Sheriff Gonzalez, a black male parked his vehicle in front of the store and entered armed with a pistol. He proceeded to demand that employees open the safe at gunpoint. That’s when an employee retrieved his weapon and fired at the suspect, hitting him “once or twice”.

The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle and collided with a METRO bus approximately a block away from the store. Emergency services quickly arrived, and the male suspect was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Sheriff Gonzalez also added that the vehicle used in this robbery was linked to a robbery of another convenience store in the area a couple of days ago.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
