Fatal Crash in Pleasantville Area Leaves 62-Year-Old Houston Man Dead

Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at approximately 5 a.m. on Sunday, December 1, at the 8500 block of Guinevere Street in the Pleasantville Area.

A 62-year-old male, whose identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, was driving a silver Honda Accord westbound when he failed to maintain his lane. The vehicle struck the median, then mounted the sidewalk before crashing into a tree.

Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced the male deceased. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
