Fatal Collision Suspect Arrested: Murder and Assault Charges Filed
On March 11, 2024, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 21600 block of Spring Plaza Drive and successfully arrested 19-year-old Destin Quintero, who had two outstanding felony warrants from the 486th District Court for Murder and Aggravated Assault.
Quintero faced indictment by a Harris County Grand Jury on March 1, 2024, for these charges following a vehicular collision on November 19, 2022, in the 15500 block of Cypress Rosehill Road. Allegedly driving a stolen vehicle, Quintero caused a head-on collision resulting in the death of one individual and serious injuries to a female passenger.
Initially charged with Fail to Stop and Render Aid Involving Death, Quintero’s case underwent further investigation by Constable Investigators. This led to the addition of two more felony charges to the indictment and his subsequent arrest.
“Destin Quintero was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault. His total bond was set at $65,000.00 out of the 486th District Court,” stated Constable Mark Herman.
