Drunk Woman Kills One, Injures Four in Galveston Head-on Crash

On Monday, January 20, 2025, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Galveston police responded to a major accident at 29th Street and Harborside Drive involving a head-on collision between a black BMW and a white Toyota Tacoma carrying five passengers.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the BMW, driven by 34-year-old Alexis Brittany Cisneros of Texas City, was traveling westbound when it crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck the Tacoma.
Emergency Medical Services confirmed that one passenger in the Tacoma was pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining four passengers were transported to the UTMB Galveston emergency room for treatment.
Cisneros was also taken to the UTMB emergency room but was later released. He was subsequently booked into the Galveston County Jail on charges of intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault. His bond was set at $150,000.
The crash prompted the closure of all lanes on Harborside Drive for several hours as police conducted their investigation. This incident remains under active investigation.
