Driver Killed After Fiery Crash on Westheimer Road in Houston
Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Wednesday morning, December 11, 2024, at approximately 4:45 a.m., at 12500 Westheimer Road near South Dairy Ashford Road.
According to Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer L. Ho, a gray Ford Fusion was traveling westbound on Westheimer Road when it collided with a blue Mazda 6 and a white Ford Fusion, both heading northbound on South Dairy Ashford Road.
The collision redirected the Mazda into a curb, while the white Ford sustained minor damage and was able to move into a nearby parking lot. The gray Ford continued through a strip business parking lot before crashing into a building. The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire.
Paramedics pronounced the driver of the gray Ford Fusion deceased at the scene. The identity of the deceased is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The incident remains under investigation by Houston police.
