Driver Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash on Tomball Parkway

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas—A woman has died after her car crashed into a light pole on Tomball Parkway, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:55 a.m. on Saturday, August 30. An adult female was driving a 2004 Hyundai Elantra westbound on the service road of 19600 Tomball Parkway. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was in a left-turn-only lane at the intersection of Cypresswood Drive but drove straight, striking the base of a signal light pole with the front of her vehicle.
She was transported by Life-Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating the crash.
