DPS Seizes 42 Pounds of Meth, Over $10,000 in Oldham County Traffic Stop

A traffic stop in Oldham County on May 5th led to the seizure of 42 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and more than $10,000 in cash by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Around 11:15 a.m., a DPS Trooper pulled over a 2018 Nissan traveling eastbound on I-40 near Vega for a traffic violation. During the stop, the Trooper discovered multiple plastic-wrapped packages of methamphetamine inside a large plastic container, as well as rubber-banded cash in a bag.
The driver of the vehicle, 64-year-old Brenda Stancle of Muskogee, Oklahoma, was arrested and booked into the Oldham County Jail. She faces felony charges in Texas for money laundering and possession of a controlled substance.
According to reports, the seized narcotics were being transported from California to Oklahoma.
