Deputies Seize 54 Pounds of Marijuana, Weapons, and Cash in Successful Operation near Greater Hobby Area

In a successful operation on Thursday, November 30, 2023, deputies from Constable Jerry Garcia’s Special Operations Unit and Patrol Division executed a Search Warrant at a residence in the 10700 block of Fuqua Glen Ln. The operation followed numerous complaints of suspicious activity surrounding the residence, prompting Constable Garcia’s Special Operations Unit to launch an investigation.

After a thorough inquiry, deputies obtained a signed Search Warrant for the targeted residence. Upon execution of the warrant, law enforcement took one suspect, 29-year-old Douglas Gains, into custody. The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 54 pounds of marijuana, various weapons, and around $200,920 in US currency.

Douglas Gains has been charged with Felony Possession of Marijuana in connection with the findings. Constable Garcia emphasizes the importance of residents reporting suspicious activities, urging the community to adopt a “see something, say something” approach.
