Deputies Arrest Husband in Round Rock Fatal Domestic Violence Shooting

ROUND ROCK – A 65-year-old man has been arrested after a fatal shooting Sunday morning that investigators say was a domestic violence-related homicide.

Around 9:00 a.m. on October 12, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported shooting in the 5800 block of Parma Lane, just outside Round Rock. When they arrived, deputies found 43-year-old Tariro Ikpe suffering from gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later died despite lifesaving efforts.

Detectives identified the suspect as the victim’s husband, 65-year-old Ekong Ikpe. He was taken into custody and charged with murder.

“This is a tragic situation that underscores the devastating impact domestic violence can have on families,” said Commander John Foster. “Our hearts go out to the victim’s family and loved ones as our detectives continue their work investigating this case.”
