Deputies Apprehend Repeat Offender in High-Crime Area near Gulf Freeway Intersection

On Thursday, November 30, 2023, deputies from Precinct 2 actively patrolled the Gulf Freeway and Clearwood Dr. intersection, a notorious high-crime area that has raised concerns among citizens. During their patrol, deputies identified a male, known to law enforcement, standing in the public roadway and obstructing traffic. The individual, who has a history of resisting arrest, assaulting police officers, and evading law enforcement, was instructed to move onto the sidewalk.

Instead of complying, the male fled the scene, sprinting across the intersection. Deputies pursued the individual on foot, navigating through various properties of multiple businesses. Eventually, the male was located hiding behind vehicles. He was promptly taken into custody and transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center, where he was booked into jail.

The individual was identified as Demond Parish.
